JiTong Steam Festival 2010/2011

double headed QJ-train

The two engines QJ 7038 and QJ 7119 were used between Daban and Haoluku from December 31 to January 5. This was the JiTong Steam festival 2010/2011. Fortunately the locos where not decorated, but the train was much too light and too short to recall the golden days. It seems to be the last steam festival because the JiTong management could not sell sufficient photographer’s tickets. It was said only some 40 people paid. To cover their costs, more than 200 tickets needed to be sold.

The pictures are taken by Zhang Zhi En, Daban.
