Colin,

To see the pictures in full resolution you need to click twice on them. One time, then wait a moment and then another time. It's not very comfortable, I know. But Word Press was said to offer one of the best blog systems ...

Hope you enjoy it anyhow.

Colin,

Sujiatun is a small steam loco workshop next to the railway museum. Sujiatun is south of Shnyang and can be found on google earth. You'll see many railway properties there. I do not know where exactly the Sujiatun workshop is. My last visit there dates back to 1996 or 1997, can't remember.

Dave
Bern said the location was actually Sujiatun, but Sujuaton is closer to Shenyang than that? I have found another location call Dahushan more to the west but could not see anything there other than a station.

Thanks Dave

This whole thing is a very interesting development indeed,

I did have another few photos I downloaded but they are not in the file as the ones I posted, time though would mean that it would not be possible to get them off that site

Also several photo's came a bit later of QJ 6294 after a heavy O/haul at Chanchung. Makes one wonder, & hope this might not be a one off.

Dahushan is in Shenyang Bureau, 137 km SW of Shenyang by rail. The only other loco present on my visit was SY 0739 inside the depot, looked like a long abandoned repair job.

Just to add to what appears a truncated description. have to learn different method of uploading of photo's & comments.

Anyway a China Rail Fan site showed these loco's & some other poorer shots of these QJ's dumped in what was termed Shenyang Depot, they were posted there in December 2005, there are a couple with the same numbers as those listed by Dave & a couple of diferent ones as well. Part of the post also mentioned some JS's being there as well, at least from memory.
